SCOPE

Conceptual graphics, construction documents, and construction observation. Collaboration between state and local agencies, community members, tribal leaders and biologists

PURPOSE

700-acre (T30-1) land art and habitat restoration

FEATURES

4 miles of trails, parking area, 'white cap' habitat islands, interpretive signage focused on native peoples and lake history, and a sculptural shade structure inspired by the wing shape of the endangered Snowy Plover bird. ‘Whitecaps’ provide habitat for migratory birds, mammals and invertebrates with stacked rock niches which offer protection from wind and predators.
